- I saw santa tonight. And he was the real santa! He was even not wearing a suit, he was wearing a costume! And he had real boots.
- Megan did a dance in the flashlight/limelight, then she stopped and came over to her attentive audience.
She shook our hands, introduced herself to us and asked each of us our names. "What's your name?"
"Aaron" I replied.
"Hi Aaron, nice to meet you." Etc.
- During our bedtime rituals I kind of shouted at Megan for yet another excuse to drag out bedtime (or so it seemed to me).
Afterwards as I was leaving the room for the final time she said "Daddy, you used your loud voice and it scared me. Say you're sorry in a friendly voice."
Since when do 3-year-old communicate better than adults?
Dec 24th
- As all the guests arrive at Teta's house, Megan exclaims, "all my family are here!!"
Dec 26th
- Mommy, Daddy, Megan and Reznor are all sitting in the family room watching one of Megan's programs. Megan looks at us and says, "we're all here! Now that's what I call a celebration."
Dec 28th
- I plonk Megan down in her chair for the fifth time, reiterating my desire for her to take another bite of her supper. Megan replies, "Daddy! Be careful! I'm delicate!!"
Dec 28th
- Despite a fun-filled evening visiting with her friend Luiza, Megan was refusing to go home. She said to me, "Daddy, you can leave now."
